On 10 January 2015, at 08:08:36 EST, the first account on the just-turned-permanent Pedguin’s Minigame Server was made. Crazy how time flies like that?
A belated happy ten years to Penguin Games! It is crazy how far we have gone since its inception, from crazy, unique gamemodes, to amazing player creations, to endless meta discussions, to full-fledged competitive tournaments, and so much more. From us to you, thank you for sticking with us for these amazing ten years.
Naturally, we need to celebrate such an occasion, so hereby, the anniversary week! This is a weeklong celebration event to look back on the server and celebrate the most important aspect of our server – the community. We hope you enjoy the mayhem.
For those on our Discord server, we have opened a memories channel, where any player can leave a momento of their time on the server, a highlight memory, or any sort of signature. We will collect all pieces and put them out for everyone to read and look back.
17-23 August: The Anniversary Week!
Expect streams, hosts, and a lot of nostalgia pandering for the week of. We have some guests joining us during the week, so stay tuned as we share more details each day!

17 August
- PixPaint Opens: We have set up a special, small Survival world with an empty canvas, so join and put your contribution in! Updates will be shared daily, with the final picture used as the server banner. Please, spell Penguig Ganes correctly.
- Multimedia Theme Contest Opens: We are running a multimedia theme contest! What is the theme? Well, you will have to find out day-of… the contest will last until the end of August.
- Stream of the Day: Live Q&A and PixPaint showcase. Watch our artists live as they paint a beautiful (?) campus, r/place/wplace/whateveritiscalled style, AND ask any desired questions to the developers and former developers of Penguin Games.

18 August
- Stream of the Day: Penguin Games Trivia Quiz. We are bringing back the (controversial?) Kahoot from 2017 and testing your knowledge with NEW Penguin Games lore.

19 August
- Stream of the Day: Host Lobby Feature Showcase. To give love to our community creations, we are dedicating this stream to full-on custom microgames and more that our players have cooked up on their own! Maybe you will see your creation in action?

21 August
- Stream of the Day: SharedHP Survival Runs (and more). We are putting too much faith in the common user and attempting to reach the Wall of Flesh and greater foes, all under a shared health bar. Will we survive, or will we hit retry too many times?

22-3 August
- Stream of the Day: 24 Hour Marathon. We will be doing it all for 24 hours. Hopefully, we do not go insane. Probably.

For a lot of us, Penguin Games means something impactful for our personal lives. For some, it has been with you for a year, and for others, it has been with you for even longer. Regardless of whether you are new to the server or an ancient relic, thank you so much for playing our niche Terraria server. It really does mean a lot for us to see a recurring community stay with us for so long, and we hope to keep the flame past this decade and further. Stay with us for the ride, it will be worth it.
